This wall hanging is made of natural hemp fiber, which is not only durable but also eco-friendly. It is hand-crafted by skillful artisans from the H’mong ethnic group in Sapa, Vietnam. The natural blue color comes from indigo dye. The intricate meaningful patterns symbolize the suns, the stars, earrings, and coins, every detail is carefully drawn by hand using beeswax. Tiny patches of red, white, and black are hand stitched particularly. The four alloy coins at the four corners symbolize good luck and prosperity. It is not only a beautiful addition to your dining set, but also a stuff cultural significance.
Batik is a unique technique that requires a great deal of skill and patience. Artisans use metal pens dipped in melted beeswax to draw intricate details on the raw fabric and then the fabric is dyed several times until getting desired color. The wax resists the dye, leaving the waxed areas in their natural color. After being removed, beautiful patterns were revealed. This process creates a truly stunning work of art that is sure to impress your guests and add a touch of cultural charm to your home.
